While at the grocery store, on my phone I looked up the best chicken pot pies available at a market. My store had the 3rd-ranked pie, the Boston Market Chicken Pot Pie. I don't have the highest expectations for frozen pot pies in the first place, because most are pretty bad. This one came in even lower than expected: gluey consistency, salty sauce, small cubes of bleached-looking poultry, soggy crust, and even a mass-produced, "stamped" crimp on the top. As my family choked it down, we talked about how much better a homemade chicken pot pie sounded right about now. One pie is 2 servings. Each serving has 450 calories, 680 mg sodium and 10 grams protein. Would I buy these again? Doubtful. 2 stars. |
