The box is pretty enticing – it claims that this macaroni and cheese product is made with real cheese – so I had to try it. Not impressed. I was disappointed that Annie's Shells & Real Aged Cheddar didn't taste very "real" to me. It seemed pretty fake, actually. So I doctored it up with real cheese, salt, pepper, a little sour cream, and of course milk and butter. Once it was "added upon," it was better. But going forward, I'd rather spend quite a bit less and buy the competitor's brand. It's good to eat healthy, especially when the healthy product tastes great. This one, unfortunately, didn't match my expectations. 2 stars. |
